AEMEF

The Spanish Association of Football Teams Physicians (AEMEF) is a collective which brings together doctors who perform their work within football clubs or have a professional activity related to the footballistic scene.

AEMEF was also born to promote cooperation between professional doctors who carry out their work in footballistic institutions and to establish and organize meetings which enable the exchange of experiences, problems and specific knowledge of the medical practice within the scope of football’s activity.

Thus, within the Association, there is place not only for specialists in physical education and sports medicine but also for specialists in different areas such as Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, etc.

The continuous training courses and congresses and the solutions to the problems resulting from the daily activity (sports injuries, Anti-doping Controls, emergencies on the pitch, etc.) are AEMEF main goals.
